We've been going here for the last 13 years with our Golden doodle and they have consistently don't a great job. Our dog is skittish but feels comfortable at this clinic and will cooperate with the staff and other dogs. They have been especially helpful as our dog has gotten older and thus we have had to pay a visit more often. Definitely recommend for local families with dogs.
I moved to the area a year ago, and Dr Sturla was highly recommended by my vet in Fairfield. They had worked together at the Emergency clinic, so they were colleagues and friends. I am so happy with Dr Sturla and the staff at Holmdel Veterinary Clinic! I drive 20 minutes to get there, and wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

The staff are all so very friendly and genuinely caring. For as badly as my dog might feel when having to bring her in, it really perks up her spirits to see the staff! Doctor is very good too, which is most important.
I'm new to the area. Holmdel vet was recommended me. My dog luci doesn't always behave but it was time for rabies shot and she really needed a nail trim. They gave me the 1st appointment so I can get in and out before other dogs. It's a was a great experience from 1st phone call until I left. The waiting room was clean, bright and airy..staff very friendly. They have one veterinarian and he was great with Luci. Very patient and didn't push her when she got weird. The shot took one second and she didn't even know it happened. He didn't try to sell me all other shots etc. but let me know her teeth needed addressing. Lastly they were actually able to trim all of her nails. She whined the whole time, but they were all cut (something that takes me days to do). I was so relieved when I left. I'll be back with dog #2. Thank you!

Amazing vet from comfort, to reliability, to care, to COST. I’ve never trust my Oliver with anyone other than this caring team. My in-laws now go here with there two dogs. My parents with there dog who is now 12 and there dog that passed in the past and friends dogs now attending. Never disappointed

Dr. Sturla is seriously a saint! I wouldn't bring my pets to anyone but him. Him and his staff are kind, compassionate, honest and make you feel like you're at home. I have 6 cats and a dog so I'm there pretty frequently. I've been to other vets but felt I was either judged or they didn't care about me or my pet. Dr. Sturla and his staff are the complete opposite. Friendly, outgoing, caring the list could go on. I found Dr. Sturla about 2-3 years ago and have been using him since. I never had a single issue when bringing my pets to him in fact I was more relieved afterwards. Not only does he correctly diagnose the issue he also explains what's going and what's causing the issue so I understand more and feel at ease. I would recommend Dr. Sturla to anyone who has a pet. Just be careful because once you come in you'll love him and his staff and never want to leave.
